Mr. Lu is an established life sciences entrepreneur and investor, widely recognized for founding and leading Biosensors International Group Ltd (BIG) from a medical supplies specialist into a global pioneering cardiovascular device public company, culminating in a S$1.1 billion private equity transaction in 2016.
Recipient of the Frost & Sullivan Best Cardiovascular CEO award (2004) and Entrepreneur of the Year by the Singapore Business Awards (2009), his legacy spans foundational leadership across global venture ecosystems, including historical roles as General Partner at Majuven Pte Ltd and Venture Partner at Vertex Venture Management.
Deeply embedded in the structural acceleration of technology and research, he served on the Board of the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) and was appointed as the Chairman of its Audit Committee, alongside memberships on the Health and Biomedical Sciences International Advisory Council.
